Special Edition: Coffee Jelly at the Church Pot-Luck!


Coffee Jelly Recipe

3 packets unflavored gelatin
1 cup water, divided
3 cups prepared hot coffee
3/4 cups sugar
pinch of salt
1 can sweetened condensed milk

In a large bowl, sprinkle two packets gelatin over 1/2 cup water to soften, about 5 minutes. Add hot coffee, sugar and salt; stir the mixture until gelatin is completely dissolved. Pour into serving dish or mold and chill until firm.

Meanwhile, in a measuring cup, soften remaining packet of gelatin in 1/2 cup water. Once softened, heat in warm water and stir until gelatin dissolves. Stir in 1 can sweetened condensed milk. Allow to cool slightly, then pour over chilled coffee layer. Chill entire dish. Dust with cocoa powder before serving.
